Ok - so calibrate the digital camera by starting at some public and verifiable event, keep it rolling for the drive back to the lab, and then mount on the tripod and record the experiment.

Perhaps hang out outside Parliament and snuggle in on one of the doorstep interviews with the rest of the media scrum, then bugger off.
