Not all dogs are human friendly, and some are more so than others. It generally is going to depend on the dog itself, and each dog in each situation, is going to react differently.

I had an Am Staf that was as human friendly as they come.

But, she probably saved my life one day when she stopped someone from advancing on me at a very isolated pond we were swimming at...
