It's just another one of those shows for the furmommies to get off to. And the amount of plugs for Petfinder was just ridiculous. "I really wanted a new dog, so I went to Petfinder.com, where they list thousands of dogs up for adoption..." Scripted much?

All those "rescuers" pat each other on the backs over the dogs being "saved", but there's no safety net for those hundreds of dogs...what happens if the Pit Bull (oops, I mean, "American Bulldog mix") gets into a fight at the dog park and the guy wants to get rid of her? Then what? Off to Manhattan AC, that's what. Who is doing home checks on all these people? Is there any follow-up on these dogs after they're in their homes? The only follow-up that they showed was the "rescuer" calling the transport guy asking if the adopter seemed to like the puppy.

They also showed an elderly couple waiting to pick up a Lab puppy. Not sure I would place a puppy, especially a Lab, with old people...

There are dogs dying in every community across the country. You mean these people couldn't find a suitable dog at the local shelter? But oh, it's more noble to get a dog from the south where all those rednecks live That's the general vibe I get from the show. "Oh, look, we're saving all these puppies from the boonies and bringing them up to NY and Vermont and MA where they get diamond collars, pawdicures and dog bowls made out of crystal, isn't that wonderful?"

I also almost had a heart attack when the bulldog's mom snapped at one of the pups over the food.
