The most common reason for a Mac crashing is because of Flash, he added. My PC never crashed because of Flash.

About half of the websites in the world still use HTML4. If you are expecting some miraculous switchover to HTML5 then you are in for a massive disappointment.

We should all use Quicktime for video, that's a really well put together piece of software which everyone loves.

Sorry, I really couldn't keep a straight face writing that [rofl]

Tomorrow... Not today... Not in the iPads 1st gen life span IMO.
I know you want to push people to go to html5.... but you can't DENY flash... Thats like saying "The future is electric hydrogen fuel cels.. But since no one has made affordable hydrogen fuel cells... Lets just bring out an all electric model that runs on li-ion batteries for 50 miles"... It is not practical. You are limiting the users from the "amazing web surfing experience" you claimed...

QFFT! /facepalm... ;D

Maybe Stevie-o-man should hire better coders so Flash would work on Mac.

Thanks. I have often struggled with "tomorrow".

My point was that it will take a long time before all the flash sites are replaced with html5.

So he attacked Google and Adobe in the same breath.

Truth be told, most of the cool iPhone features are Google Applications (Maps and YouTube, for example). He really needs to take his head out of his ass.

You can say it as many times as you want but everyone knows that Apple aren't avoiding support for Flash because it's "Soooo, yesterday." or it crashes Macs. Apple don't include it because today it could undermine the market for 'apps'.

"HTML 5! HTML 5!" It would be nice if webkit offered more than passing support for it wouldn't it?

Are you serious? There are a billion websites out there that have flash video/animation embedded that are not going to change just because Google does. I suggest you learn to think a bit....flash support is not being removed. Therefore a company has absolutely no need to spend a lot of money converting all their content to HTML5. Therefore they won't. Why do you think we still have so many corporations on IE6? Because they created content that works on it and MS still support it.

The only way to start a mass conversion is to remove flash support from the internet. A highly likely scenario.

This seems to be the problem with Apple fans Flash equals video, equals YouTube and nothing else. There's no interactive flash pages and no one wants full implementation of HTML5 (which is years away) just the video portion.

I think the backlash is from people who're tired of Apple-philes treating him like the second coming and giving him a monitary hummer everytime a new product is released. I think perhaps he's buying into his own hype and sense of self importance?
