Turn on the TV, put in the movie Tron, and put it at a low volume.

You'll fall asleep faster than you can say "the sequel is out in 2010."

No seriously, Tron is an awesome movie but I find it an amazing way to relax and fall asleep.

Yea it can be hard, I tend to pre-occupy myself by going for a walk, or something physical that keeps you active and awake. Sitting around trying to do an allnighter is VERY hard, don't think I've ever been able to do it without getting up at least once or twice to get something to eat
Yeah even if i go for a walk or exercise it still seems to happen. The problem is i suddenly crash and if i'm sitting down at the time then i'm screwed. I actually fall asleep far easier in my chair than in my bed!

I think i need to find a fairly good medication to knock me out when my sleeping is out of sync, the only things i've tried in the past are temazepam (which would make me a bit of a zombie the next day) and Seratonin tablets that my mums friend used to send from Singapore. Neither really helped much with knocking me out. The most effective sleep enabler for me is still the one of the green variety but it's a rarity for me these days.

Works every time! I'm asleep before the wife even knows we're done!
[rofl]

...but yes, sex is the best natural fix for your problem. Heck, it helps so many problems doctors should start prescribing it!

Doc: "Hmm I suggest we start you on a course of Angela, taken once a night before bed, and if you are still having problems you may need to double the dosage. In fact, you can even mix it with some Sarah and Bianca to help increase its effects".

I have also noticed that all nighter are harder than it sounds compare to some years ago when I really, really hated sleeping (or well I have always hated to go to bed then just lie down and wait, I want to fall asleep in at least a minute or two..) but eating and especially intense gaming (thrilling story or multiplayer with friends) can keep me awake forever. A movie, music or a TV series is a sleeping pil..

That must be the funniest and most brilliant thing I ever read on a forum..[thumbup] [rofl]

Pity that will be harder then getting some drugs, even illegal lol..

Anyway, yesterday I fell asleep around 5 to 6 a.m then woke up around half past 8 p.m..That was quite beautiful considering I had an awful sleeping rhythm and all on a half-week streak..

I will stay up longer now until I feel very tired then go to bed, this will be better as I usually tried to force my own rhythm rather then feel what my body needed...

I'm still awake too. I've been playing some Wipeout Pulse on my PSP which probably isn't helping either, but i might go for a run now that there's daylight.

Haha, I am must be weird as I would avoid daylight to run..I would rather have a nightjob, I think I am gonna try that as well as I love the mood and atmosphere when I just can see the moon and feel the breeze..

Ah I wish I had that ability..my dad has that, he can also fall asleep just sitting down and closing his eyes pretty much everywhere..

I try the all nighter from time to time, but i often end up dozing off mid to late afternoon for an hour and then i'm back to not being able to sleep that night. I did it earlier and now i still can't sleep at 4:30am! [cursing]
I have a trick for that. Keep a large bowl with ice water in your fridge. When you think you are about to fall asleep, dunk your face in it for 5 seconds.

I generally have to do it every 30 minutes.

It's weird tho'. I never fall asleep while watching something etc. Only when I decide to sleep, and it's like *snap* [yawn]

Read a book in bed? I love to read, but anymore when I try to read a book in bed it puts me right to sleep, even if it's a good book.

No, I don't want to fall asleep while reading, and I can't concentrate while I am half-tired or close to being tired as that will just ruin the part of where I am reading and if it's exciting, I will get excited and forget about sleeping..
