Default Best way to fall asleep fast?
So I have been having some sleep issues lately and it's not really insomnia because when I am tired I fall sleep and sleep 8 to 10 hours but if I change my day rytm a little bit it just gets ****ed up and it's very annoying as I really hate being tired while am I suppose to do something (job, school, freetime etc..)

Anyone knows a powerful but no drug-alike as that will probably cause more problem then it will help? Doesn't need to be a drug but well let's just say drinking warm milk (lol?), training or whatever people use to say about this doesn't help for me..

Ambien.
Helps a lot and doesn´t leave you with that smashed head feeling in the morning.

edit: Ask your doc for Zopiclon or Zolpidem (as their named in Europe)

10 hours is way too much, you probably aren't getting a good restful sleep, I never do myself. I would give Ambien a shot, and see if it allows you to get a good night of rest.

Looks like you can't adjust easily so keep your day rythm always the same, usually the time when you get up should be fixed.

Eat well, do some exercise - maybe 6~8 hrs sleep is more of a typical amount but that depends on the individual I guess. I get tired when I sleep too much

I guess I will look up that ambien. Anyway, eating good I do I always do since I will have another issue as insomnia if I don't and exercise..I have never been much of an exercise but frankly when I do or at least am not home just running around with friends and doing something I am up easily 18 hours+ then it takes a couple of extra hours to fall asleep, quite annoying really..

About w*nk and hold breathe must have been the weirdest tips here but I will try them, they should leave no harm like drugs or anything extreme would do..

Not if you exhaust your self. 30min jog isnt going to do it. You need to go for longer periods plus uphill/hiking is a great way to exhaust your self. I have no trouble sleeping unless my hike was very light.

Ok..I will try it.

Not an option in my situation..I don't really meet girls that often (no school, no job atm..)

Take it you have irregular sleeping patterns. This is likely why you can't get to sleep properly. Best way to get to sleep easy would be to stay up late until you get really tired, go to sleep (easier to sleep when your dead tired and can't keep your eyes open) then wake up very early (maybe a 3-4 hour sleep) or just have an all nighter. The next day you can rest assure that you will be tired much earlier at night. Go to bed at a set time (10pm-11pm or something) and get up early (6am-7am) and you'll begin to stay in that rhythm.

Take it form me, I've actually done this and figured it out for myself. Problem is is that I don't stay with it and force myself to stay up later to finish school work etc or lookup stuff.

I try the all nighter from time to time, but i often end up dozing off mid to late afternoon for an hour and then i'm back to not being able to sleep that night. I did it earlier and now i still can't sleep at 4:30am! [cursing]

Yea it can be hard, I tend to pre-occupy myself by going for a walk, or something physical that keeps you active and awake. Sitting around trying to do an allnighter is VERY hard, don't think I've ever been able to do it without getting up at least once or twice to get something to eat
