Just back from seeing it, thought it was awesome

Although the product placement in particular deserves applause, I mean what could be better than Optimus Prime endorsing Ebay?! rofl

Awesome film though, big kid inside me is screaming out
I thought the same as well about the products. So many plugs lol.

The blatant Panasonic 2GB SD card, eBay, google when that funny little robot used in the police car.

***in quality flick.

i have seen the movie twice and i must say it has been one of the best movies i have seen in a while.... i wanted to know are they planning on making a second movie? i hope so... the ending seemed a little simple and megatron was defeated simple, instead of taking him apart they dump him in the ocean...

viagsjicguara 07-09-2007 06:48 AM

i dont now why anyone not wanting to know anything about the movie incase it gets spoilt for them would read a thread entitled "transformers film...". use at least some common sense...

anyway i think those of you who watched the cartoons would enjoy the film a lot more. those who didnt watch the cartoons like myself wont get quite as excited. it was still alright though.

Transformers Film...

I know everyone has already seen it, but I had to post as I've just seen the movie (release was only yesterday here in the UK) and I thought it was really really bad.

I was expecting a corny action movie but not one with a non existent story (why did they drive from the secret base to a city?) and numerous completely STUPID moments.

My favourite (and the one that prompted me to make this post) was near the start of the film:

When the soldiers are fighting off the scorpion bot and defeat him, one of the soldiers is wounded and screaming in pain rolling around on the floor...

Another soldier runs over to him and put his hand on his neck

"Its OK, he has a pulse!" He shouts in relief.

OF COURSE HE HAS A PULSE YOU DUMB F*CK HE IS ROLLING AROUND SCREAMING ON THE GROUND!

Now, I'm no medic, but surely this sounds like a really retarded bit of film making, or is it me being stupid?

I know its just a cheese action movie, but still....

People like you suck. You can't go into a movie without expectations.

Just go to a ****ing movie and watch it. Who cares about small meaningless ****.

VIAGRA- 07-29-2007 09:26 AM

I liked the movie, but I also missed why they all drove to the city at the end.

I did go and watch it, I take it you thought it was a theatrical masterpiece?

Like I said, I wasn't expecting a meaningful movie that made me think, I went to see it as I loved Transformers when I was a kid, but when your laughing (my friend was as well) for 5 minutes at a supposedly serious moment, it kind of ruins the film don't you think?

that really pissed me off lets got to a highly populated area and put millions of people in danger

i know the reason they did it though, its so there could be lots of special effects of buildings getting destroyed it served no other purpose

the film is **** anyways i knew it was gonna be **** and i wasn't disappointed. i could of written and directed a better film on the toilet yesterday

Yeah that's what I thought, so they could get loads of special effects and action in.

What was their plan? To keep running forever from Megatron?

Action movies don't have to have heinous story gaps, wooden characters and stupid mistakes, its just a shame this one did as I was really looking forward to it (or maybe I do, like Alaskan said, just suck! [rofl])

Gorlummm 07-29-2007 09:53 AM

I didn't care about a story, or lack there of. I just wanted to see cars ****ing transform and blow **** up.

And it delivered.

denSmumbSes 07-29-2007 02:21 PM

I only went to see it because I saw the first one in....85? 86?

I found it almost tasteless, really. I wasn't expecting anything but I was still let down.

Half the time I couldn't tell who was wrestling with who.

Obebtetibre 07-29-2007 03:34 PM

People like you suck. You go to movies without expectations. You would pay to watch anything that has mindless and pointless special effects.

:P

Seriously though, Transformers succeeds in two ways and only two ways: visual effects and Megan Fox. The rest is garbage.
