Default Worst accents in film
Anybody seen Alexander. The whole of the beggining of the film is filled with a strange medley of accents from Brain Blessed's barmy booming British to Angelina Jolie's Puuuursian. There's a strong Scottish accent. Then there's Colin Farrels Irish with all of those Irish kids thrown in. Anthony Hopkins' Welsh accent thankfully isn't too strong and then there's the expected American accents. For people playing Greeks you'd have thought there'd be a little cohesion.

Sean Connery.
He can't even do a Scottish accent.

Oh, and Orlando Bloom. I always presumed he was an American doing a really shit English accent.

this is exactly why i didnt watch the entire movie. it was like nobody put any thought into hiring a speech coach or something. WTF? you make this big movie and then put zero effort into making sure the actors have at least somewhat passable accents? fuck that.

Keanu Reeves in Dracula trying to do British, comes across as a cross between an Australian and an American trying to squeeze out a huge shit.

Awwwwwww darn! Seriously, when I saw the title of this thread, that's the first thing I thought of.

I was actually thinking he sounded like a valley surfer dude doing an impression of what he thought sounded like a British accent. It was truly one of the most awful accents I've ever heard in a film.

As with Rene Zellwegger in Bridget Jones he equated doing a British accent with just talking very very slowly and deliberately.

Yes to Connery, though for me in Highlander. The whole film is a mental mindfucker. You've got a French guy running around being Scottish in the "clan McCloud" and then Connery introducing himself as a Spanish fancy dan.

Dick Van Dyke was appallingly great in "Mary Poppins" as in terrible accent but still a wonderful performance

To balance it, Bob Hoskins American accent in Roger Rabbit was surely horrendous.

Brad Pitt's Irish accent..........wow

Kevin Costner's attempt at an English accent for the first ten seconds of Robin Hood before he just gave up too.

Sean Bean's American in Silent Hill was god-awful. It added nothing to the film as it was so bad as to not be worth bothering with. He only had a few lines anyway.

Okay...so its a TV show and not a movie but True Blood. That show is all around awful. Awful acting, awful southern accent, awful plot. However, it is strangely addicting too...

Japanese voice acting is some of the worse. I know it's hard because their language is so different but they just sound wrong. Or incredibly bland.
