I remember hearing from someone (or maybe reading somewhere) that if you have a full beard, topi, jhubba etc. you would be a target for the intelligence agencies, and that you may be followed everywhere? Can any brothers who have been there recently shed some light on this? i.e. would a man in traditional sunnah appearance and a woman in niqab be welcome as tourists or they would face difficulties?

Also, how is the Halal situation there - is meat generally reliable or do they face the same problems as much of the Middle East with imported meat/lax rules etc.?
