Default What is your hobby?
As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Do you have a hobby?

What is it?

How long have you participated in it?

Are you able to teach it?

My Hobbies are:
Figure Skating
I have been doing it for 6 years. I competed before I became a Muslim.
I don't teach because I am not that good

Turkish,
I randomly took it as a second language 3 years ago and now I am in Grad School in Turkey! I love it. I do teach Turkish to kids

Ukhti muslima:

Jazakumullahu Khair for contributing to this positive thread.

Figure Skating has to be challenging. Failed at skating at Rockefeller Center.

We haven't been motivated to learn another language.

Assalaamu'alaikum,

I love baking, bread, pies and desserts, have been doing it since I was small, learnt from my mother
I write articles for small magazines and local newsletters which I've been doing since uni
Used to do more sports like field hockey and tennis at school but not enough female-only facilities now unfortunately.
I also do crafty things and love making home-made Eid cards and collages.

Mostly, I read. Any book that falls into my hands.

Practicing Tai Chi, not so much a hobby, just self-maintenance.

Tried to "Learn Russian in 30 days", but kind of gave up after learning to read Cyrillic letters (very slowly).

Used to be a stargazer, got as far as learning the constellations, but had to stop after moving to a big city and all the stars got blotted out. Wishing to move to someplace with a decent night sky.

I was never much of a sportsman, don't even watch football. Except when it gets interesting like when Wigan caught up, equalized and then beat Arsenal in the last 15 minutes. LOL!

I took Russian for 5 years. The alphabet was the easy part, the grammar is what kills you. Russian grammar is so hard that it is said that Tolstoy doesn't even know it. I switched to Turkish because it is different. I don't care if people think I am weird but it did end up leading me to Islam. I love skating. it is hard especially because I started at age 12 and I was not a short and stick thin. Most people my age and younger are more advanced than me but Alhamduliah I have stopped comparing myself to people. Baking is awesome too bint!

wrwb,
I read, not necessarily books...and I don't know if you can call it a hobby, but I always keep thinking of doing things faster than ever before, keeping things organized etc etc, my future wife is one very lucky woman sorry, if that sounds like a show off

My hobbies are gathering with the brothers have food and do Deeni Chat.

As for sports hobbies, gym 2-3 times a week (started 6 months ago), play badminton twice a week (Iv been playing for 14 years now on and off) and play football once a week (playing for a year now after a long gap).

I think Muslims should start getting into sports activities to keep fit.

It is alright akhi - it was just light banter.
I had dabbled in drawing, pottery and games but now when I have become conscious about the value of time my appetite for hobbies has disappeared.
