![]() try to find out by the scholars if Allah and His Rasool ![]() he is only bringing up this question because Allah tells us that He has protected the quran and he is questioning why Allah has not protected the other books......but why should it be necessary that the other books are protected because the quran is protected? who are we to question Allahs wisdom? |

How can I answer that question? I read in Sh Yasir Qadhi's book in 'Introduction to Sciences of the Qur'an' : "The Qur'aan i s the only divinely-revealed Scripture whose preservation has been promised by Allaah. The responsibility of preserving earlier Scriptures had been placed upon its recipients, without any divine aid. Allaah mentions in Surah Ma'idah: "... and the rabbis and the priests (judged according to their Scriptures), for to them was entrusted the protection of the Book of Allaah, and they were witnesses to it..." [5:44] Thus, the earlier nations were given the responsibility of protecting their scriptures, in true contrast to the Qur'aan, whose protection was the responsibility of the Creator" I don't usually take my deen from Salafi sources though, I bought this book before I knew much about the madhahib. I would also add that the Qur'an is the final revelation to mankind, and everything that happens is by the will and determination of Allah, so of course Allah knew that these previous books would eventually become corrupted, and perhaps the amazing preservation of the Qur'an (as the final revelation which applies to all humanity to come) in comparison to these scriptures is a powerful tool for da'wa and strengthening the iman of the believers? ![]() Torah and Injeel were for a specific time period and for specific nations, that is why they were not protected as was the Will of Allah, Quran as you can see calls upon the whole of mankind and is for all times, therefore it will be protected by Allah. P.S Shias believe Quran is created, convenient isnt it? P.P.S If I have unknowingly pitched myself in the first sentence from athari to maturidi or maturidi to salafi then someone correct me as I have little knowledge of this stuff ![]() |

![]() Because of lack of time I have not read the other replies but hear is my response. Basically this world is a test and initially it was the responsibility of human race to protect God's message after they received it. They failed in this responsibility and slowly they modified the Divine Messages. Finally Allah(SWT) had Mercy on us and decided to protect it Himself. Of course He uses us only to do that-as means. This way of looking at the things has the advantage of not rubbing the other people in a wrong way. And Allah(SWT) knows the best. Wassalam |

The revealed scriptures are the Kalam of Allah, not just the Qur'an, but also the Torah and Evangel (Injil). The Mus'haf is not the actual Kalam, and Allah has not promised to protect every single Mus'haf, as can be seen. wa'Llahu a'lam |

![]() Why Allah was not the protector of the torah and indjeel? Neither the Injil nor the Tawrah was corrupted, the Qur'aan is clear on this issue: Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby. Qur'aan Suratul Baqarah, Ayat 79. Persons who were entrusted with the scriptures, had the authority to teach and train others in the veracity of the revelations, verbatim. Unfortunately, their positions or their biases or perhaps nafs (desires) got to them and then they wrote words claiming it to be Allaah's. According to Encyclopedia Judaica, the Tawrah was admittedly lost atleast 3 times in history and rewritten from what the "scholars" could remember: "They say that when Ahaz burned the scrolls of the Law the priests of Yhwh hid one copy in the Temple, and that Hilkiah found it while searching for the silver. The scroll happened to be open at the passage Deut. xxviii. 36; and it was this that terrified Josiah." (Jewish Encyclopedia - Volume 6, Page 396, "Hilkiah") PC6C396Z.jpg wa Allaahu Alam. |
