Heres one of the hadiths that mentions that particular virtue:

Abu Hurayrah, radhiAllaahu 'anhu, said that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, mentioned India and said, "A group of you will conquer India, Allah will open for them [India] until they come with its kings chained - Allah having forgiven their sins - when they return back [from India], they will find Ibn Maryam in Syria." (Kanzul-Ummal)

Inshallah will see if i can find the other one that is more specific

the army of khurasan....the black banners?

i dont think there will be an announcement or anything. i think it is the duty of the ulama to study the hadith and the world situation and guide the muslims.

i guess this guy's read the ahadeeth in detail too....

I thought the hadith talking about Khorasan were either extremely weak or fabricated?

i dont think any non-muslim government or even muslim puppet government will allow an exodus of muslims to travel to khurasan to join the muslim army. it will be even more difficult for those living in UK as the only way to get across to the mainland will be either by plane or boat and both of them are easily obstructed if the government wishes to do so and i believe that they will.

i think that if people believe that the time is close and they realistically want to join the muslim army then they should be preparing now and placing themselves in a position where they will be able to join the army without hindrance or at least with relative ease. also i believe that they should have some sort of infrastructure (community) where it will be safer to leave the women and children.
brother it seems to me that the people who will not join imam mahdi will not be considerd muslim anymore and as imam mahdi will fight armageddon in sham, so all believers will be in sham. So it is better that we migrate to sham beforehand at the time of easiness.

After all, it is a saintly place, the weather is nice, language is arabic, scholars are in plenty, life and living is cheap and what's more one need?

Before permanent migration to that place we may think for one, two long term (3-6 months) visit in Sham and try to be used to in that place. Any thought from anybody?
