let me explain.
me and my nephew were taking the dogs a walk and we used the old pit lane to get access to the forest. on this lane there are very few houses and it"s easy to see if any cars are coming . to get onto the lane a busy dual carrageway must be crossed (prob the fastest road in the area). about 2/3 of a mile up the lane we let the dogs off, no sooner had we done this when a loud noise from a new nursing home(it wasnt there last time i went up) that is under construction startled crippen and he took off towards the very fast very busy road. i yelled at him to stay but he prob thought he was in trouble and kept on trotting.now as i ran after him he sped up. i guess you can see where this is going!!
the worst happened and he made it onto the road, all the traffic stopped and people got out of there cars. wtf could i do. i expected road kill.plus there was 2 lanes of fast traffic coming the opposite way. i caught a glimpse of him and i walked tried to run some more up the central refuge to stop him crossing. a woman and a man coaxed him to the road side with me hot on his tail.i expected blood bones and mess but there was not a fcuking scratch on him/ phew!
as look would have it the first vehicle was a range-rover towing a caravan and he managed to stop all the traffic.
now this was "good friday" one of the busiest days of the year for traffic. i was a bit of a mess to say the least..
