I don't know much about conformation either. I definitely know Hades weak points though, not so sure on his strong points... if anyone sees any, let me know so I can add them to very short list! LOL!

Weak: No hock (straight in the back), sway back (although this is something I just noticed, perhaps it's his age?) and long pasterns. As I said I'm not conformation junkie, but they don't appear to be set at a good angle either, a bit too low.

Strengths:.... Nice tail set? LOL. Well sprung rib cage? He has all his teeth ROFL!

Where is that emoticon? THESE POSTS ARE WORTHLESS without pictures, LOL.

AADR/ADBA Champion Bobby Boucher

Pros
1. Personality
2. Nice short loin
3. Top line

Cons
1. Messy front feet - long toes, flat, toed out slightly
2. A touch shallow in the chest
3. Long fur, especially on his tail

So hard to pick JUST 3!

Bahamutt99, I think Priest is perfect.

As a strength you should have added perfect butt.

This is a crappy cell phone picture and he's CHUBBY in it, but Ruger...

Faults:
Roached back (but not when he stacks out like that)
Kinked tail (like 4 times lol)
Shallow stop (where his head comes down to the muzzle)

Good points:
Good chest and rear muscle
Perfect size (42.lbs)
Drive and endurance

I would also LOVE to hear opinions from people who know more about APBT conformation than I do about Ruger's faults/good points!

Can someone point out the faults in Fairin? I really don't know a lot about conformation, and to me she looks pretty darn good!

I'm not exactly sure with Reggin. I'd love some input from someone familiar with the standard. He was less than a year old in this first picture...

HEAD SHOT.

PROS:

Nice tail set?

Well sprung ribs.

Naturally muscled with no exercise.

Forth one I want to sneak in here, hehe. Very tight feet!

CONS:

Something weird going on with his muzzle. Too blunt and short? Lacking under jaw? He has a slight under bite also.

Ears a little big.

Hocks don't look right to me. Not sure.

According to APBTconformation.com, Ella has a million and one things conformationally wrong with her. hahahaha. Oh, and I BELIEVE IT.
But I don't expect her to be conformationally correct at all since god KNOWS her actual history.

I think what bothers me most, physically, about her is, (and forgive me because I'm CLUELESS as to the body parts and proper terminology), that extra skin from her tummy (where it tucks) to her back leg. Here's a pic with the area circled and labeled that I'm talking about:

Is that an actual fault? Is there a way to get rid of that through exercise?
It seems her tummy is tightening and tucking up more, but that skin webbing is still there.

Lexi:
Faults: serious Dewlap on neck, ears are full prick when she is excited at times, small almost unnoticable kink in tail.
strengths: nice round but not too round eyes, feet round and fit her body size nicely, forelegs noticably thicker than the rear although still muscular.

I am no expert, but I heard that too much rear angulation is just as bad as no angulation at all. I thought Reggins angulation was great before I heard that. Then I started second guessing it.

Maybe someone familiar with the standard can clear that up. I've always wondered about that. The rear angulation is what gets me.

Okay can't edit after 5mins...lame, but I would like to ad that LUGZ has an abcess on his throat so that is where some of the extra skin comes from.

CH Hachi has a few minor faults that are fairly easy for me to hide when she is in a good stack position:

1. Dewlap
2. A little bit long in the loin
3. Lacks rear angulation
4. Could use a more pronounced stop and shorter muzzle (head)

Chi does NOT free stack so it can be a litttle difficult to show her. Her strenghts are:

1. AMAZING Attitude! Definently has that "zest for life"!
2. Perfect movement
3. Overall balance
4. Nice tight feet
5. Perfect bite

Ok- that's more that 3, I better quit now before I go overboard!!

Everyone needs to remember this is just for fun and that conformation standards were set by humans. Conformation Faults do not diminish your dog's worth in anyway. The most important thing is that the faults do not hinder the dog from doing the work they were bred to do.
