Default Faulty or Empty?
C: I normally use Epson cartridges with my Epson printer.

Me: Naturally.

C: I just started using your compatibles last month.

Me: OK...

C: Well, they're not working right.

Me: What problems are you having?

C: Well, they've been printing fine, but now 2 of them have run out and I can't print. I never had that problem with Epson cartridges!

Me: Your Epson cartridges never ran out?

C: Of course they did, but I could keep on printing even if they were all empty!

Me: Your printer would keep printing even if your inks were empty?

C: Yes! These inks must be bad, cause the black and red are empty and the printer won't let me print, I've had to come in and buy more, this is disgusting!

Me: Can I just make sure I'm getting this right. Your black and red inks are empty, so you've had to buy more to replace them, because your printer won't print from empty cartridges?

C: Yes!

Me: And you feel this means the inks are faulty, because when you used Epson inks the printer would keep printing even when the inks were all empty?

C: Yes!

Me: Then why did you buy replacement inks?

C: *looks confused*

Me: If you had inks in the printer that kept on producing ink even after the cartridges were all empty, why would you need to buy new inks?

C: Cause it stopped printing!

Me: So in other words, when your printer says it's out of ink, you need new cartridges?

C: I guess...

Me: Thankyou sir, have a good day.

C: *looks bewildered and wandered off*
