Well, its just not very good, especially with the initial firmware. You are looking at 20mins for the the first lock, and even once that lock had been established, subsequent locks after would generally take 5 to 10minutes. It improved a lot with the second firmware and has reportedly increased in speed significantly with the 3rd firmware update.

i'm running an N95 on the 3rd (12.xx) firmware and can confirm the GPS lock issue is much improved. assisted gps has now been implemented (uses info obtained via gprs to speed up the lock) and i get a lock from cold in about 30secs to a minute.
