I'm very happy with the price point for the iPhone plans. Apple has been able to bring a total package to the cell market. I can't think of another plan over here in the US that includes data AND a decent amount of text messages for one basic price. I'm also glad to see that visual voicemail didn't become some $5 addon or what not. I think I'm going for the $80 family plan which is about the same price I'm paying now with Sprint but I don't have data and I don't have any text messages and it's like 200 more minutes. $60 for a personal plan with text and unlimited data will be pretty hard to beat on any network in the US and $80 for a family plan with those kinds of minutes and data and text is also just about right in line. They're affordable in the cell phone world, that's for sure, I was worried data would be an extra $40 a month or something and 200 text messages would be an extra $10 and the cheapest voice package would be at least $35. So when you add everything up, iPhone plans seem a pretty fair deal.

I'm still going to see if I can get the ATT rep to set up my account in the store so I can try to score 500 text messages for free since I think I plan to get the $600 phone and the $125 headset. That's got to be worth some kind of freebie and I know the iTunes setup deal will rule out any hookups from nice reps.
