No. I get a much better deal than that with Sprint.

The RAZR also isn't a $600 phone without a contract.

I'm very happy with the price point for the iPhone plans. Apple has been able to bring a total package to the cell market. I can't think of another plan over here in the US that includes data AND a decent amount of text messages for one basic price. I'm also glad to see that visual voicemail didn't become some $5 addon or what not. I think I'm going for the $80 family plan which is about the same price I'm paying now with Sprint but I don't have data and I don't have any text messages and it's like 200 more minutes. $60 for a personal plan with text and unlimited data will be pretty hard to beat on any network in the US and $80 for a family plan with those kinds of minutes and data and text is also just about right in line. They're affordable in the cell phone world, that's for sure, I was worried data would be an extra $40 a month or something and 200 text messages would be an extra $10 and the cheapest voice package would be at least $35. So when you add everything up, iPhone plans seem a pretty fair deal.

I'm still going to see if I can get the ATT rep to set up my account in the store so I can try to score 500 text messages for free since I think I plan to get the $600 phone and the $125 headset. That's got to be worth some kind of freebie and I know the iTunes setup deal will rule out any hookups from nice reps.

Do you mean the cost of the plans? The main reason they are more expensive then European countries is because the infrastructure is so much bigger.

I don't know a single person who doesn't have a cell phone except for maybe one of my friend's grandparents or something.

Not trying to be a smartass I just really don't.

Yea it's not really common....in 1987. Seriously, I've seen 8 year olds with cell phones now in the US.

It's true ... Everyone I know has a cell phone. Come to think of it, what is this world coming to. God, I wish I could just throw away my cell phone and not worry about anything.

I don't know of anyone who doesn't have a cell, maybe my 5 year old sister, but that doesn't count. But wouldn't it be cute if she had one of these?

But it would be even funnier if she had a blackberry.
