Urgh
I don't have a myspace. I do not want a myspace. I do not care about myspace. I do not look at yourspace, ... I'm sick about these popularity contests, trying to get as much "friends" as you can, which consist 99% of people you have never even met or spoken to. I'm sick of people putting all their personal stuff online for the world to see, That stuff is meant for a little book with a little lock, perhaps with a girly pink heart on it, and you kick the crap out of anyone who even thinks about reading it. I do not care what you had for lunch, for dinner, or how you decided what to wear today. I do not care about what new bands you discover. I do not care how much you hate your neighbour. You do know if you apply for a job, and you have a myspace, they DO find it, and they will know you have a thing for four-legged midget priests. I hope this bubble bursts, rather sooner then later. Sorry for the rant. Just think about all the info you put out there for the world to see. "they do not know me" you might think. But do consider "the entire world" includes your parents, your neighbors, your boss, your teacher, perhaps even your children. My Advice, don't put anything online you wouldn't tell to a stranger on the street. I apologize if I disturbed the flow ![]() |

To me, Myspace is a horrible site. There are too many ads, too many spam accounts with pictures of hot women that want you to visit their sex sites, more difficult to use than I really care to deal with and has too many infrastructure problems that cause the site to not work great. Granted, I do have an account there, but I hardly use it. I'll go there periodically to check things out and keep in touch with those that don't have facebook, but it's like once a week or more that that happens. I am more of a facebook user, and have been since the days that it was restricted to college students (and I honestly think it should have been kept that way). The site is much cleaner, down less often and easier to get around with the absense of all the fluff that's on there.
I do agree with SmellsLikeBogu about the troubles of sites like this. There are some people that put a little too much information on there that could get them in trouble with employment later on. Of course, when you're young, nobody really thinks that far about what they put on there. In contrast, I think that these sites are pretty useful when used correctly. |
