Her new album comes out this week and, based on the preview tracks and live performances, this looks to be her best album yet! Let's discuss our love for Sia! Clap your hands!

And here is her latest video for Clap Your Hands. Her video's are so distinctive, quirky, disturbing and visually stunning.

I love Sia -- she's so fun! The video is great. I saw her live in Toronto on April 28th and she wore awesome bubble blower wings. I heard she's sick (to do with her thyroid) & has to cancel the rest of her tour... the last show was tonight. I hope she'll be okay.

Her last show was actually a few weeks ago in London. She had some promo appearances lined up in conjunction with the U.S. album release this week for Jimmy Kimmel, and in early July in the UK for the oddly-delayed release there, but those have all been canceled due to her being diagnosed with Graves' disease. As far as I know, the Lilith shows in August, as well as the additional UK and rescheduled German shows in October are still on. But I suppose that could change; she needs to get some rest and take it easy.

*EDIT - the UK release of the album has unfortunately been pushed back to 27th SEPTEMBER - as originally planned, Sia will still be performing a special concert at London's Borderline in conjunction with this new release.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00.../ref=dm_ty_trk - FREE new track "Hold Me Down" on Amazon. It's more like her older atmospheric stuff! I understand why it wasn't put on the album, but that's really strange it's being offered for free. Not that I'm complaining.

Oh wow, I was on Facebook earlier & it was Imogen, not Sia, who said the last show of the tour was tonight... oops, lol. I'm pretty exhausted from work. :P

I'll check out that free track! ... edit // Looks like it's only available to US users.

Good album, great Madonna cover, fantastic single.

The video is...not to my taste, though. It really detracted from the song for me for a while because it's so busy and jumbled and tough to watch (imo imo imo). It's a cute idea, but far too unpolished.

thanks for the heads up about Hold Me Down! there's also a gorgeous piano/vocal version of I'm In Here available as a bonus track on iTunes which you can also buy as just an individual song. i wish they would release an official acoustic version of Never Gonna Leave Me the way she performed it at that wedding.

Thanks for the link to the free track!

I absolutely love "We Are Born." The only song I can't get into is "Stop Trying," but I love everything else, especially "Cloud" and the tracks we heard a few weeks back as a sampler. It's a shame she had to cancel the rest of the tour. I hope she's feeling better soon.

The album arrives in the post today! I am so sad for her, having to cancel her tour, but it is for the best. She's planning on cutting back and only doing a select few special performances in the future rather than try to sustain a whole tour. That's fine with me because she loves making music, I love the music she makes and I'd rather her be happy and healthy.

We Are Born is pretty fucking great. My only issue with it is the the same (minor) issue I had with Some People Have Real Problems, which is that some of the songs sound too similar/run together for me.

Also, the song she did for the new Twilight soundtrack, My Love, is one of my favorite things she's ever done. It's an incredibly beautiful song that should have been on the album (along with Hold Me Down) to balance out the upbeat numbers.

Cloud is really doing it for me this week.

^ Cloud was really amazing live. she said it's her favorite to sing live right now because it helps get all her anger out.

by the way, did anyone else download the official live boot of the Copenhagen show? it's really great. i actually prefer the versions of Never Gonna Leave Me and Co-Dependent on there to the album versions.

^ Where can one download that? I must have missed it when it was released.

And the alternate version of "I'm In Here" is just beautiful. ♥

Sia rocks my world! I love how soulful and strong her voice is. I love how quirky she is. I love everything about her. The new album is quickly shaping up to be my summer soundtrack!

The vocals on "Cloud" gets on my nerves on the album. I'm hoping if and when I hear it live, I will feel differently about it.
