The risk of stroke is due to estrogen in the contraceptive. There are options for women with increased stroke risk, including the shot, and low or no estrogen (progesterone-only) pills. Look into it.
Also, in my anecdotal experience, there is no difference in sensation between brands of condoms. Thank god for monogamy and the pill. |

IRT whoever asked about "no sensation," no, I didn't mean literally no sensation, and yes, this was in fact my first (and second, and third) sex. But I assume it's not normal to be aroused by a woman but, on entering her, be incapable of reaching orgasm. We're going to try a variety of condoms, since I've read a number of complaints that the specific type we were using (Trojan's main polyurethane brand) tends to constrict feeling a lot. It did feel pretty tight, but I had no grounds for comparison. |
