Nono, they thought he only did that, but he learned how to control them a couple of episodes back. ![]() |

There are a few things that still bother me. We've seen Sylar take a few bullets and get up moments later; why exactly does he need Claire's power, since it appears he's already got it? And if Peter absorbed telekinesis from Sylar, does that mean he absorbed all of Sylar's pilfered powers? When did sylar ever take a bullet? I've completely forgotten about that. |

Parkman plugged him a couple times in the basement of that police station, when he was using his TK to make that FBI agent turn her gun on herself. We then saw him stand up and levitate(?) away. I think HRG also shot him a couple times when he was threatening Mrs. Bennett. |

Well, this may be somewhat of a spoiler, but if you look at the comic books online after the ep where HRG shot Sylar, you'll note it wasn't healing power.
I'm thinking that it is just telekinesis which lets him stop the bullets from going farther in him (when he is surprised by shooting) and then he expels it from his body. |

OH and I think that Sylar is just a sadistic SOB-- he could just use telekinesis to subdue "paint-the -future dude" yet he chooses to pin the guy by impaling him in a few places. Even if he thought he needed to kill them, I doubt he thinks he needs to peel off their skulls while they are alive ![]() ![]() |

Yeah... even before he ever killed anyone (or so we're led to believe), he told Papa Suresh, "I just... see how things work." That seems to be his base power; by examining (consuming?) the brains of others, he's able to see how they work, and replicate their powers.
Peter's more empathic, Sylar's more analytical. (I guarantee that Peter's prophetic dreams come from absorbing his mom's power.) |

They weren't really prophetic, though; at least, not in a "this is going to happen" sort of way, the way Peter knew his brother was in a car wreck, etc. They were more introspective, subconscious trying to speak to him sort of dreams.
I'm not ruling out Mohinder as a "hero," mind you; I just think it'd be better if he weren't. |

WRT Sylar, I think that since his base power is to "see how things work", he just has to look at the brains of a 'hero' and he automatically knows how to use any powers they have.
I pictured the heroes' powers to be 'hard-wired' into their brains, in which case, how would Sylar be able to mimic them? He should just know how they work. So, if that's the case, he would also have to have the power to 're-wire' his own brain to be able to use what he's learned. It's also possible that, in the show's reality, anybody is actually capable of using these powers. They just need to know how to use them first. WRT Mohinder's dreams, from what I understood, there was a boy from the neighbourhood who has the power to enter people's dreams. So, maybe the boy sensed something troubling Mohinder and showed him those dreams. BTW, where does "Mystery Sock" come from? |

This is now officially the best show on television, by a country mile.
In the original future (before Hiro went back to talk to Peter), Sylar got Claire's power, and survived being stabbed, and became the bomb. (And eventually killed D.L., Candice, and Nathan.) In the altered future (after Hiro's warning), Sylar did not gets Claire's power, but Peter lost control and became the bomb. Sylar may or may not have been stabbed; if so, he survived somehow. He still gained the other powers and became Prez. Now, young Hiro still believes killing Sylar will stop the bomb; it is unclear whether or not he knows Peter is the bomb, or if he knows how to stop that. Hell, the drawing in the comic book may even be Hiro stabbing Peter... Great scenes in this one. Matt and Hiro, Matt and Bennett, Bennett and Claire, Peter and Future Hiro. ("Should I stop time?" "No, it's been a while since I've had a good fight.") |
