Default Sleep problem

something about that please help I find funny.

we'll sing you a lullaby. listen up.

my usual advice. think about something other than work or personal relationships. Think about fantasies. And of course the usual: jerk off, warm milk, etc.

Please sing the Russian anthem to me, sir

my usual advice. think about something other than work or personal relationships. Think about fantasies. And of course the usual: jerk off, warm milk, etc.

Shutting off my mind is a significant problem. Often when I lay down, I'll start thinking about everything...finances, people, situations, anticipating events, etc etc...it is frustrating because I'll feel like I need to get up and do something, and so I usually just end up pacing around the room for 2-3 hours.

I've tried "the usual", and it doesn't work

I have this problem very frequently, as I'm having many exams this semester.

Wake up in the late afternoon (6PM), keep yourself busy for the whole day (loads of coffee, reading newspapers at eating at first, internet will keep you active and awake when you'll feel DEAD tired) and go to bed around the same time (still 6PM) the next day. You will sleep approximately 14-16 hours, voilà. It always works. Unless you, er, rest your eyes for a cpl minutes.

Except that I was really tired when I went to sleep a couple hours ago. But it seems to have all disappeared.

Hmm...Staying up for 24 hours straight might be difficult to schedule in, though I suppose it isn't so different than what I am doing right now.

The only thing that fixes my sleep problems is trazodone a few times a week to keep my sleep pattern stabilized. You wake up dehydrated every morning you take it, though.

What do you do during daytime, Tass?

If you aren't doing anything (it looks like it, given your sleep pattern), then do a physical activity. The best thing is to do a mnual job, which will keep your body busy all day long: you won't have trouble finding sleep afterwards

That is a pretty good sleep pattern. Mine is like this:

go to bed at 3 pm, wake up at 6 pm

go to bed at 6 am, wake up at noon

go to bed at 5 am, wake up at 8 am

go to bed at 9 pm, wake up at 4 am

etc
