Please school me on everything you guys know about warts. Not the STD kind, but the common on you hand warts or more specifically Plantars warts.

I had one on my toe, I've been trying to "dig" it out with fingernail clippers for about 4 weeks going until I hit blood and stopping until it heals to try to dig deeper. It seems to have spread as I now have 5 on one toe and it is incredibly painful to even walk on it. I have tried topical wart "patches" from dr. scholls and those dont really seem to be working as they seem to only kill the top layer of skin but dont get deep enough to kill the wart. I'm considering the freezing treatments next but I dont want to freeze my whole toe and with 5 on there it will pretty much be my entire toe

Are there any home remedies that actually work? Collodial Silver? Oil of Oregano? etc?
