are they genetic... never had the pleasure...
They are a symptom of a few of the strains of HPV. There are 70 odd strains and you most likely have some, yourself, just not the warty ones.

That is a pretty painful way to deal with a wart - burning acid! The ACV was painless, cheaper, and it worked.

We love ACV too. Also you can use a clove a garlic, cut some little nicks in it to "activate" it's healing power or mash it up
and put it on the wart with a bandaid, it burns it off. It burns off anything on your skin that you don't want there.
What about the skin you want to keep? Have used some of the above cures and most will also remove good skin along with the wart, if not careful how it is applied.

Have you started any threads with a list of herbs and their various uses?

I'm intimately acquainted with a few select herbs, but am woefully ignorant of others.

If you started a thread for revealing your herb-y wisdom, I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter had foot warts, which we ended up freezing off, with spray. One needed 3 or so treatments, we tried garlic first, it shrank it, but didn't get rid off it. Cutting it out was out of question since she is a bit squeamish.

When I was a kid I had a wart on my finger, that seemed like it would never go away, eventually I chewed it off. But my grandmother took a piece of yarn that she tied a knot around the wart, and put in a flower pot, and told me that when the yarn is dissolved, then the wart will be gone. Sure enough after I finally had been able to chew it off the yarn was gone. Don't use synthetic yarn though, you'll have that wart forever...

ximmy's spectacular wart removal remedy...

A man goes into a restaurant and orders soup. When the waiter
brings out the bowl he has his thumb stuck in the soup, but the
customer decides to let it go.
"Would you like anything else?" the waiter inquires. "We have
some very good beef stew today."
"Sounds good," says the customer. So the waiter goes off and
comes back with a plate of stew, and his thumb is in the stew.
The customer is getting angry now, but decides to hold his tongue.
"How about some hot apple pie?" asks the waiter.
"Fine," says the customer. The waiter returns with his thumb
stuck in the pie.
By now the customer can no longer restrain himself.
"What do you think you're doing? Every time you've come to the
table you've had your thumb stuck in my food!"
"I've got a wart and my doctor told me to keep my thumb
in a hot, moist place."
"Why don't you take that thumb and just stick it up your ass?"
"That's where I put it when I'm in the kitchen sir?"

People get warts from potassium deficiencies all the time, so actually eating the bananas first then using the peel would help
to get to the root cause so they quit coming back .

The wart is just showing itself externally of what is wrong internally.

I like when stuff comes out on my skin . I'm like what the hell is that !!!

Our skin tells us sooo much about what's going on in there ! Getting to the age that stuff is popping up on my skin and I do not like it, but oh well.

Old Herb Lady , sorry I just can not resist posting this!

Ohh Dogman !! Is that Tree man ? The guy that had his whole body turn into tree branch like warts
I remember him !! OMG. Wonder if he's still alive ?
I was so fascinated by his story,

I remember when he had them all cut off but they started growing back all over again.

That's WAY more complex than potassium deficiency , my friend, but completely curable. There are no incurable diseases.
Yes it is, and there are a few in the world with his condition! Have not searched to see how he is doing today.

Trying CS on my sons wart, inside of his finger. In 1 day the whole wart was white and the skin around it was normal, will see more next week when he claims he needs to change the bandaid/cotton deal. He wraps the finger with plastic to keep it dry in the shower.

Already tried the burn/freeze/cut method that didn't work.

Day one with the ACV and banana peel treatment.

Yesterday I put ACV on it for about 5 hours in the evening. Walked to the store and bought some bananas. Walked home. Ate a banana. Took off the ACV bandage, cut a piece of peel and stuck that on with medical tape and went to sleep.

Woke up this morning and my toe hurts like crazy!! All the skin in contact with the banana peel is white and wrinkled, similar to getting out of a pool after a long while. The warts are VERY sore to the touch, much more sore then yesterday. They seemed to have "opened" up a little bit. I took the peel off this morning and showered, washed the toe, and now have another ACV soaked cotton ball taped to it with medical tape. I will leave that in place for the day, and do the banana peel again tonight.

I am with Aries on this one.

I cover it untill the good skin starts to pull away so I can see the whole ward. Wrap a tourniquet to stave off pain and control the blood flow. I then cut to the base with an xacto in a plunge cut and pull it out with tweezers/hemostats normaly a big pull then a pop like a tooth. I make sure all the black and white junk is out then put into a bowl of peroxide and unwrap the tourniquet and let bleed for a while to flush.

Works like a charm

For bigger warts on larger areas like the heel I have also used a copper roofing nail. Heat the head till solid blue and press it in till it stops smoking and sinking in. It will only go so far before the burnt wart/skin insulates the good skin.

Not as elegant and has more colateral damage than the other stuff but it is over quick.

I just gotta say, there's a lot of testosterone in this thread and it makes me proud.

I almost want to get a wart now, to try some of this manliness out. Right on, men.
Solid, you crack me up!
