Hooray! I'm back in the civilized world now!!!

Sorry I'm super excited right now. Been without power since tuesday because of a freak storm system that came through all FREAKING week. Storm dumped over 6 feet of snow here in my little town, about 4 feet left after compression. Lost 6 ponderosa pines, 2 doug firs and I'm pretty sure we lost our 200 hundred year old oak as well. We had to tunnel out of my house. We get a ton of snow here on average but this was an extra insane storm. My county was declared a state of emergency, absolutely nuts. We are on a well too, so there was no water, we had to melt snow on a gas stove constantly. Gotta love Northern California, we call the extreme amounts of heavy snow we get here "Cascade Concrete", due to the fact that the Cascade mountains run north and south and are generally less than 100 miles from the pacific ocean, meaning the storm systems slams into the mountains like a wall, dropping tons of heavy snow.

Our local ski area is still without power, but they got over 10 feet since last weekend, just insane. Can't wait til they open, it's going to be epic.

Soooo I got power back now! Was able to keep my reptiles alive, just barely though, sadly I lost my aquarium, nothing survived in it .

I didn't have my SLR with me but I did record some video on a HD helmet camera, I'll post some screen grabs on here in a bit.
