Most of my waking hours are spent in front of the PC. I do my work, banking, phoning, organizing, entertainment, research, shopping, you name it. I'm not really addicted to it, it's just that it is an integral part of my life now, it has literally become a necessity rather than an addiction. How the hell do you fit all those hard drives in your case. Damn...when you click "My Computer" or explore it must look like the damn alphabet![shocked] You must really have feelings for your PC. I am refering to your signature. Over 1000 gigabytes...wow ! |

I think in time it will be as important as having a phone. A necessity. |

I am interested ...do you think anyone would actually use "An exercise desk" Picture yourself comfortably reclined and using your PC while burning calories. Peddling underneath. I think some people would. There is many who need to including myself. I know to some it sounds like a pathetic idea but is it really ? When I used to go to the gym and almost all the elliptical and peddle machines had a spot to put a book and many people used it. What do you think ? |

It varies a fair amount, mainly based on my workload. I would say the least amount of time I spend would be roughly 2-3 hours spread throughout the day. The most would be around 8-10 when I have a lot of work to be done as well as if nothing is going on that day. Usually after days (sometimes weeks when a film needs to be finished) like that I get pretty sick of it and use it very little for a day or two just to check things online.
Addicted? Meh, kind of I guess because a day won't go by when I don't use it at all and I am home. However at the same time I have no problem being away from it for long periods like when I am staying at the girl's house or out of town. |

I enjoy the technological aspects and details of many things; pc's being one equal to that of mechanics.
I used to spend a lot of my time wasting a hell of a lot of money on my pc system keeping it up to date so I could play games. Then I sold that and got a 360 and really enjoyed the experience minus using a 17" TFT instead of something more suitable like a HD TV or HD monitor. Then got sick of the failure rate of my 360's so ditched that and now just have my iBook G4 in Madrid and thats it. I spend all day on my pc at work, which I have now come to loath so I am quite lost really. I know a hell of a lot about networking, new internet protocols such as PBT, TMPLS as I have studied them for nearly 8 months here at Telefonica. I enjoy studying the technical aspects but I HATE sitting in an office in front a god awful pc. So I used to be an addict, now preferring socialising and don't play any games at all! But I think I may actually easily spend equal to that I spent on my pc every now and again by being a socialite.... [rofl] Sorry, I think in Madrid it might be half of what I would spend on a 3D card. When back in the UK I could see that exceed that hugely if I am not careful (bloody expensive UK) but I don't mind, much rather be out and about meeting new people than getting square eyes glued to a monitor for hours on end |

I work on one for 8 hours a day. When I get home I turn it on and when I first wake up in the morning I turn it on.
I don't have a big social life, but at the same time I have no objection to leaving the PC to go out. Perhaps if I didn't have a PC/internet access I'd be forced to try and be more sociable than what I currently am. If I didn't have Internet access and the ability to be sociable online then I think I'd be bored and lonely, with my current life that is. Having internet access gives me people to chat with and porn to fap to. :P |
