It's a nice engine with a lot of potential but it's not terribly modern which is evident in the emission and consumption.

Anyways, I take it that you're from US? You should be able to get some nice headers and full exhaust for them. There's a heavily modified Cougar with the 2.5 over here where I live and it has a very nice throaty and deep rumble note. Dunno what he has done to it though but it can be done

Dunno if the exhaust parts are interchangable between the 3.0 and 2.5 but I'm guessing they would be. Dunno where you could get the parts though...
