Clielldub 06-04-2007 12:25 AM

He should be publicly beaten for wrecking something so beautiful.

ArraryTauTDew 06-04-2007 12:29 AM

So how did its million dollar safety system work?http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif

Dumpishchaism 06-04-2007 12:29 AM

reminds me of that ferrari Enzo that was crashed not too long back... rich people aren't always the best drivers heh.

18holesin 06-04-2007 12:37 AM

lol maybe the guy should have took some lessons on driving powerful cars it wouldnt suprise me if he didnt.

some people have more money than sense and this guy must be one of those people

Rurcextedutty 06-04-2007 12:37 AM

Wow, didn't realise there were up to 12 owners of Veyrons in Britain, some rich people in this country it seems.

"Insurers are now deciding whether the car is repairable or whether in fact it will be a contender for the most costly write-off in history."

Should be interesting! [shocked]

ArraryTauTDew 06-04-2007 12:45 AM

I can imagine getting in a fender bender against one of those and being billed like $50,000 for a new bumper

So how come Top Gear wasn't able to get hold of one for the lap times?

and @ the poster: why call this person a noob if you don't know what happened? I'd like to see you handle a Veyron.

How the hell would I know?

Anyway, judging by the way the Stig throws the cars around the track, I wouldn't want to lend them mine if I owned one.

Because Bugatti won't lend Top Gear one to test. Jeremy said they're happy for them to test it on the road or for the top speed test they've just done, but not on the track it seems.

I could easily name the person a noob myself. It even says on the BBC article that the police claim he was driving without care and attention. Same like any other car accident that can occur when there isn't care or attention.

Although i'd never like to see that car written off by the insurers, it's possible it could be. It costs 5 million quid to make it. [no]

He was doing about 100 in a 40 zone in the rain. I think it's safe to say he's a n00b.

I'd like to see me handle one too. And read the article, like Jaded said he was doing 100 mph in a 40mph zone in heavy rain. I don't think he'll be blaming anyone else do you?

safe car yes but its all down to the driver

damage dosen't look too bad for a crash at 100mph tbh

cauddyVab 06-04-2007 03:57 AM

I'm sorry, but how is a Veyron ugly? http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/blink1.gif

Your opinion I suppose, but IMO it has the striking presence for a car to do over 250mph.
