in a modern car with a hydraulic clutch, its 99.9% pointless. ****, with syncro'd gears, you dont even need the clutch if you can RPM match (i dont REALLY recommend this though) and i have yet to see one GOOD reason to double clutch, unless you have maybe 190,000 miles on it, it might be slightly better / easier on it.

double clutching is when you shift into nutreal then into the next gear so the rpms catch up, afaik th eonly time its good for anything is if your synchros are messed up

In the finnish army there still exists one vehicle type which requires double clutching or else it will not go into gear. Funneh.

BMP-2? At least when engine breaking and switching from 2nd to 1st it does require it I'm willing to bet there are more than one vehicle @ Armoured Brigade which require double clutching.

Can't really see reasons to do it with modern cars, maybe with some older cars.

"Dude, I almost had you"

"Almost had ME?! You never had me, it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."

Yea, double-clutching is useless in cars nowadays. But it is usefull to know how to do.

And you can always learn how to DCHT down-shift.

You barely know how to change gear and now ur trying to double declutch (I only said it as a joke in the other topic)

My advise, just learn how to get from 1st to 2nd properly (or whatever u struggled with last time).

Chances are you'll try and double declutch and crash again.
