Default Does Time magazine not have editors?
Editors are a luxury in today's world. Most publications share an editor called "spellcheck" and it's every bit as effective for them as it is for the rest of us.

It's a relief that they got the gender of "Attack ad" correct, but I think that's just a coincidence.

I haven't taken French since elementary school (I switched to Spanish in middle because the French language sounds like a congested duck), but I think it's "n'est-ce pas" or something like that. Sounds like "nest-paw."

I don't get it, are we assuming that they're stupid because they put "Attack Ad" instead of whatever the French term is?

Should be "ce n'est pas" IIRC. Thus, "Ce n'est pas un annonce d'attaque."

But it could be idomatically OK in French. Not sure.

And Asher is right about the feelings of the French on Quebecois. They refuse to even call it French.
They are nearly as scathing about the French spoken in Switzerland.

Why do we give a damn about what the frogs, Haitians, Canadians, and some African third worlders speak?

Ce isn't acceptable because it's unclear what it's referring to; ceci clearly is referring to the article itself. With context and informally ce would be fine.

KH doesn't speak French. Even bilingual people in Quebec don't speak French. They speak Quebecois if anything, which is mocked fiercely in real French speaking countries.*

* according to my colleague from France who forces people here from Quebec to speak to him in English because he "wants to punch them when they destroy the beauty of the language".
I feel the same way when I hear people from Quebec speak english.
