I really like the Leaf, but I suppose it's completely unsuitable.

The Juke isn't winning me over on its looks. I can tolerate them.

I'm more interested in its awesome mileage (27mpg city, 32mpg highway), turbocharged engine, torque-vectoring AWD, standard tech geek features (bluetooth, iPod USB, several LCD screens including one that lets you tune engine settings), and price.

For an AWD SUV? Hell yes.

If you had to drive in a couple feet of unplowed snow & ice 8 months of the year, your vehicle choice may just change.

To say the least.

Plus that's a lynchable offense in Alberta.

I really wish I could ban Europeans from this poll. Really, do you guys even see what you drive? It's embarrassing.

Buying an SUV there is perfectly reasonable. Buying one to drive the kids to school in Reading, not acceptable.

Indeed. The vast majority of people don't need them. Technically I don't "need" one either. But I drive my 2wd Mazda3 in the winter...and it's not fun. It's doable, but it's a lot more dangerous. And I drive only 8km to work, my SO may need to drive 30+. I'd prefer he have an SUV.

You are seriously considering a car modeled on a radioactively mutated four eyed frog.
I don't have to look at the outside. The inside is nice enough.

And FYI, it's modeled on an alligator. The hood is to look like an alligator's eyes peering out of the water at its prey.

So other than everyone thinking the Juke is ugly, which one should I pick? No one is voting.

I'm likely going to end up with the Rogue...

The RAV4 looks nicer. And next year an electric drive-train will be offered...

Honda's CR-V doesn't make the list?

My CR-V is old ('98), but still handles snow and speed bumps better than my friends' cars. I can't fathom why they took the back tire off and moved it to the bottom. It's like having a giant rubber bumper on the ass end of your car.

At least we don't all insist upon driving cars that look like small, insecure men on steroids.

Overstocked = no one wants one. Do you know more than the market?

You are aware of the fact that the Juke apparently shares basic tech with Renault Clio ? A french "car"

The adjustments possible in the drivers seat are also a bit reduced, so unless your SO is built like a japanese, he might have trouble.
He's 5'7.

If you're actually planning to drive off a road, get the Forester. It's cruder than the others, but practically indestructible.

Have you considered the Subaru Legacy Outback? That's a great car.
Not at all planning to go off-roading, just winter road commuting.

Haven't looked at the Outback yet. Was initially turned off by its stationwagon nature, but it's worth a closer look. Thanks.
