I wish, I'm far too old and uncool for that.

Did not enjoy the 2nd link at all. First link, kinda enjoyed it, but mostly because I like Capella at times.

Much prefer Viva Vox Chior. Their "Prodigy" mashup is incredible.

I respectfully disagree. I should be listening to more stuff like this:

That'll put hair on your chest.

Compared to what, the stuff in the first post?
I mean, don't get me wrong, if you find it hard to take seriously an american band singing about ancient egyptian culture and religion, I don't begrudge you at all. There's a lot of fantasy in the metal genre, and fantasy is never meant to be taken seriously IMO.
If on the other hand you're just referring to the vocal style, then I think you've made a mistake. It doesn't take much effort to understand the lyrics, and the feeling and emotion come across so strongly that even bands that sing in languages I don't understand are enjoyable to listen to. You're missing out on hundreds of genres with thousands of truly spectacular bands.

Nah the stuff in the first post was worse

It's the vocal style, the music.. the hair. It really does nothing for me I'm afraid

Ah in flames, I saw them opening for Trivium earlier this year, sounded pretty good. yep that guthrie govan is quite groovy (the bass line and drums are nice, also the opening riff is interesting from a guitar player's perspective..also impossible to play for me for now)

Hey Ruz, check these guys out.
Not bad after 1:29, but before that it was a mess. I think that bands like these could really benefit from cleaner recordings and a little bit of studio effort. For example, I think that Bloodbath does just about everything better. Props to your buddy though, drumming in a death metal band has to be the toughest thing you could put your arms through since that one guy invented masturbating.

Grime/rap, whatever. US is getting its ass handed to it by UK artists these days. Even

is way better than that US-ass stuff.

Enough rubbish. Back to the old skool. HTID.

None of this depressing ****.
