Certainly not to my tastes, I prefer as simple an icon as possible, rather than the poncy* new ones, that also seem to take up a bit more real estate
It also seems to have a 'washed out' look - perhaps to much use of pastel colours with low contrast to background making the text harder to read in the main pages?
Any chance of having user selectable skin options, thanks?

The new rolleyes actually made me laugh out loud. It's almost midnight here... rofl.

It looks more like a guilty smile than an annoyed look. [rolleyes]

Just wanted to say it.

Way to compact, feels stuffed and uncomfortable.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it FM

Feel free to post detailed complaints on what's wrong.

I do agree that the themes are somehow... narrow. That needs fixed. Among other things. There is only so much you can do while tinkering a test forum install and right now we had the time to do the admin work to upgrade the forum software.

We will polish things up over the next week or two and hopefully it will be just as before, only better.

I would say that the thread display in all the forums feels cluttered and a bit overbearing making it harder to read.

Also, the flashy ass mouse icons on the left side are distracting to the eye

Last, I would say that the only other issue is clicking the "new posts in this thread button" is too small

Agreed.

Everything feels too cluttered. I think what might help with this is make some of the less needed information to be smaller text/lighter text. Like the "Created by" text under each thread title. And the mouse icons (or whatever icon comes with the theme) beside each thread could probably be smaller and less distracting.

And we definitely could use a more dynamic width of the forum. Almost everyone uses widescreen monitors for years now, but it's like the forum is still meant to be seen by people on smaller 4:3 monitors.

I'm not crazy about the change either. But as a web dev, I know how these things go I'm sure it will get better. Does this mean I might be able to connect to FM with TapaTalk or some other mobile forum app?

EDIT: I think the worse thing about it all are those stupid giant mice with flames on them, down the left side of GD when in the standard skin. OG MO purple and blue are much better.

Hehe, it's just like 2006 all over again.... Ed: When we changed from wwwThreads to vBulletin 3
Well I still believe the old FM was better.. so ye it's 2006 all over again. Anyway I agree it's too compact. Why are there 3 pictures before the thread title? At least 2 of them are completely unnecessary
