I know many believe it is OK as considered a seasoning like mustard etc. and that if you do not use a lot of salt anyway (I don't...and when I do it is a good quality sea salt) that it is OK.
So, I picked some up today and used about a TBS in 3 cups of cabbage for saute with shrimp but now I wonder if I should have found out for sure first. If it is not such a good idea or is OFF protocol I will let my son use it until I can. One thing I do know is that I stopped using soy at all UNLESS it was Tamari...fermented soy w/o gluten. Really, I believe that only fermented soy is ok to have sometimes and Braggs' is UNfermented *sigh*. So confused lol I really want to get things right and sometimes the seasonings can trip us up LOL Sherri |

Thank you Colleen!
Have you ever used Tamari, or is that a p3 or p4 item ocassionally? Still trying hard to figure out the seasoning/condiment approved items. So far, I only know of mustard and dry spices and herbs. I thought there is more but I know I need to find out which ones are OK. Is there a thread with a specific list of condiments/flavorings that are known to be OK for p2 that you could point me toward? I did a search but came up with not so helpful topics LOL Thank you! Sherri I don't use it anymore for the very reason you mentioned. Plus I generally gain after using it. |

I use Braggs all the time and quite frankly couldn't do this diet without it. My first round on HCG last year resulted in a 50lb loss using Braggs virtually everyday on practically everything. Its my salad dressing with BrAggs Apple Cidar Vinegar, it's my marinade for grilled chicken and my quasi steak sauce on my flank steak. Never had a problem with it.

Yes, I did not realize until I read the label....at home lol that is uses UNfermented soy and that is just not good...really only fermented soy has any good qualities, but every body reacts differently to it that's for sure!
![]() I will have to wait until I am finished...all the way, before adding Tamari or such back in. Haha, I know *exactly* what you mean about the mustard! I use it nearly every day...just mustard, a little water and liquid clear Stevia for my chicken or romaine etc. For hamburger patties I use it straight of course LOL. I just ordered some of the *White mustard* last night which should be milder and for me that will work better for the salads I don't care anymore...I just want to get into shape and losing the fat is the first step~~ I wish I could have used brags, but soy makes me blow up. Nope. Not worth it for me. |

Try coconut aminos as an alternative to soy aminos. YUMMY, but rare to find on the ground (luckily I can find it locally)

I just started using Braggs - and I'm careful to NOT use too much OR every day, but it certainly makes for a change in food. Also, let me tell you something that was a neat find - liquid smoke! Oh my, that's awesome to use to marinate or just put on top of your meat (chicken or steak) when cooking (I fork the chicken breast & put the liquid to soak in!) Zero calories & fat & no sugars at all! It's a GREAT find!
Enjoy & good luck! Sherli |

I forgot about liquid smoke! I used it years ago but it lasts forever and got *old* so I tossed what was left...hmmm, maybe time to get some again! Such a tiny bit goes such a loooong way
