Has anyone ever injected anywhere other than their stomach???
This is probably a stupid question but...That's where all of my fat is plus inflammation from food allergies. I'm wondering if that does anything with the solution being injected? Does it make it harder to be absorbed by the blood stream? Does the fat act as a wall so the hcg can't be absorbed as well? Has anyone injected in their thigh or anywhere other than their stomach? I just get worried im injecting into a wall that's making it difficult for it to be absorbed. lol. Maybe I'm just being paranoid ![]() |

thanks for the help! Well I tried to inject in my thigh this morning...the upper inner part and it hurt like hell. I don't feel a thing when it's in my stomach. So if there's no difference I guess I'll just stick to that! lol. Sometimes I'll get some bruising but it doesn't seem to hurt when the needle goes in compared to when I did it in my thigh. I wonder why.

Hi Sitori,
This is a great question, and from your experience you described of feeling a burning sensation in your thigh, I'd like to share some experience with you about injecting. There are two ways to inject hCG - subcutaneously and intramuscularly. The two are completely different, and have different optimal injection sites as well as different sized needles. You said that you started off injecting in the stomach subctaneously. So I'm going to assume that your needle length is small. When you injected into your thigh, it is POSSIBLE that you may have injected partially into your muscle - but the needle was so short it didn't quite make it all the way in, and you may have missed the subcutaneous layer of fat. Regardless, you'll feel an IM injection more than a subcutaneous one. Even with a short needle. But there are other factors, still. If you use the same needle to inject with that you used to draw with, you're injecting yourself with a dull needle. This can hurt. A smaller gauge needle (25-27g) you will hardly feel, unless it has been dulled already. It's also possible that you have less nerves stimulated in your stomach area. I know that's the case for me. I could get my whole stomach tattooed and it would be okay, but my thigh? No way! Hope that helps some! Love, Cal |

There are several area that you can inject yourself:
* The Stomach (the best) * The Arms (2nd best) * The Buttocks * The Thighs hcg-injection-sites-150x150.jpg It is important to not inject into the center of the buttock as one could easily hit or damage the sciatic nerve. A good suggestion is to rotate your injections as follows: right quad (leg), left quad, right arm, left arm, right and then left gluteus (buttock). You can stay in the same general area, but try to say at least 1 inch from the last shot. http://www.hcgweightloss.com/best-pl...r-weight-loss/ |

Since there are two types of injections it would be helpful to make it clear which type you are referring to. Subcutaneous or IM. It seems your post is only referring to subcutaneous injections.
* The Stomach (the best) - for subcutaneous ONLY * The Arms (2nd best) - for subcutaneous ONLY * The Buttocks - for subcutaneous or IM * The Thighs - for subcutaneous or IM Injections can be confusing, I wouldn't want to see someone try to inject by sticking a 1.5" needle into their stomach or arms... that could cause serious injury. Hi, I've done the RX sublingual drops for my first three rounds because I was too frightened to self-inject. This round I decided I'd switch due to a diabetic friend's demo of how she injects her insulin. Saw the needle and thought no sweat. I research a lot before I try anything new and discovered that there are four main injection spots that doctors recommend: the upper thigh area, the abdomen, the top quadrant of the butt, and the outer upper arm. For self-injectors, it's tough to do either the butt or the upper arm area due to the angle awkwardness. I really thought I'd do just one spot but decided to move it around just to see which spot felt better, more comfortable, etc. So I've done the lower abdomen, the upper abdomen (right below the bust line), and the upper hip. So far, the upper hip seems to be the most comfortable. The tummy area is just fine, regardless of the amount of fat you have (unless you happen to be doing IM injections. You're not, right?). Subcutaneous means right below the skin and even the thinnest of healthy people have fat under that skin layer so injecting into the fat is just right. Anyway, I've realized that my tummy area shots seem to be the sorest and remain red and a bit swollen for at least 24 hours. The hip area is perfect: no redness, no swelling, no pain. Hope that helps! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
