Default Should I do a SHORT or LONG Round?
I am about to do another round. I bought one for 40 days.

I was really thinking about two short rounds of maybe 25 days or so. The reasons why I think a short round might be beneficial:

1) I lose more weight in the first two weeks and after that it slows down. From my previous round, I've lost about 15 lbs in the first 2-3 weeks and significantly did not lose as much after

2) Skin/body can recover from dryness, etc. After 3 weeks, my body is very dry.

My main concern is stabilizing and doing it correctly.

What do you all think?

Thanks.

I had the same decision to make - I ended up opting for the shorter round because (1) for some reason R2 was just harder and I was ready to be done and (2) my losses slow significantly after the first few weeks and I decided it wasn't worth struggling for 2 or 3 more weeks just for a few pounds. I'm in P3 now, and will start a third round at the end of October. I think, though, bottom line is how your body is doing with it - you may lose like a champ and not want to stop!

Ohhh (edited to add this) having said what I just said - I just realized you were talking short rounds like 25 days. I'll let some of the experts chime in here but I have heard/read that stabilization is easier if you go at least 30 days.

HI Carrie, when you said 30 days, do you also count the 2 days of loading and 3 days post HCG? Thanks.

I'd go with the short round. Plus this is not your first round, so maybe the stabilization won't be an issue for you.

I'm starting a short round Monday myself.

I did two long rounds including P3 for 6 weeks after first round and have finished and am on P4. My only concern is that from other posts I have seen is that sometimes stabilizing can be a problem after short rounds. I think it depends on whether you are taking Hhcg or rx. The only time I saw a stall was on R2 after 2 weeks and that was because I had started little "cheats" and got serious the last 10 days and it finally came off. Whatever works for you is the best. Reaching your goal and seeing this as a lifetime lifestyle is important. Healthy eating for healthy life!!

Beep, I *think* it's 30 days of doses/injections. But let someone smarter than me ring in for sure

I did read something about the stabilization issues with the short round but it is so contradicting sometimes. One might be pro for short round and the other for the long round. I was going to do the loading today but I didn't. I figure I would give it a couple more days until I get a solid answer.

For those that recommended short or long, why?

A longer period for you to detox from cravings, and to get your hypothalamus pumping. The longer you can stay on protocol, the better chance you have of keeping it off!

I am considering a short round here too but trying to go to the 30 day marks as I have also heard of stabilization issues I am on my first half of the hcg injections as the other half has not been mixed yet, I started out with hhcg pellets and then switched so im thinking i may have enough injections to carry me through to the 30 day mark, but on the 2nd batch im not sure so i have to think about this but would love a break its been a very trying month so far...but doing my best to hang in there...if you do a break in between what length of time are you giving it before starting the 2nd half??

Just wondering how did you do on the pellets compared to the injections?

I am also trying to make it to the 30 day mark. I hit day 23 tomorrow! I really would like to be down another 5 lbs before ending P2 but at the rate I lose I don't think that is possible.

I had my last injection today on my 5000iu HCG and going in for a 2nd one. I figure I'm 'in the zone' right now, so might as well stay there...............

the pellets work great but i tend to do better on injections as I am impatient having to wait to drink or eat the needed time before and after taking them...with the injections i can just do the shot in the morning and be done with it. but both seem to work the same in my opinion...

Go long. Do the hard work now so you can be done faster (down the line). Plus, I have heard stabilization is easier with longer rounds. I do find I do not like days 23-30 on the long rounds due to mental reasons (want different food...want to eat out...etc) but after that it flies again. This is me tho....many don't mentally struggle on those days. lol

I am on round two now doing a short round. 23 days. I did a very long round over 60 days the first round. round 2 is so challenging. I am so ready to be done. I did a full stabilization. Did well in the first round. But I am determined to stabilize just as well in a second round short or not. I have 12 more days and can't imagine going longer. But you never know. we'll see where my weight is. I also have to go on vacation so I have a time constraint and want to be in P4 in october. I guess we will see how I stabilize.

Thank you for all the feedback. I will go as long as I can up to 40 days. Seriously, I am not mentally ready but I think once I start the pounds go down, I will be motivated again.

I think you made a good choice, you will probably find the first 15-days tough, but after that it does get easier. Seeing the pounds fall off and going down a dress size, will motivate you like nothing else. Good Luck.

This is very true. I am not tempted to quit at all since the scale is moving again. Down .8 this morning! Woohoo!

Great choice. I am on day 15 of round two and am going to push till day 40 if I can, but am ok with stopping around day 30 if I hit my goal weight. Still 30 lbs north of that goal, sp not worried for now.
