Guys, the 64bit installer is for Vista ONLY. It will not install on XP64.
I had to install the 32bit version and then do some tweaking thanks to a guide I found on google, that made it work, because initially it would not recognise my iPhone. Back to the ipod shuffle. when I connect it, it does show up in itunes on the left side as a connected device, but no music can be added, restoration doesn't work. It just locks up. I know it's an issue with compatibility with XP64, I just haven't found a solution and don't want to fork out $85 for the new shuffle. I can always just copy the music over to my laptop and sync it to my shuffle from there. |

I know that using XP64, I'm already one step ahead than the rest when it comes to having some hardware/software issues. I had to tweak the hell out of itunes (using a guide I googled) just to make it work.
Anyway, now I see my ipod shuffle won't work in XP64. Is there anything I can do? When I try to add songs to the shuffle from my itunes library, itunes just freezes up until I disconnect the shuffle, at which point I get this error: ![]() And attempting to restore the shuffle in itunes gives this error: ![]() Any ideas? This is the second device to not work once I upgraded to XP64, first my webcam, now my shuffle. PS: It's a 2nd gen shuffle ![]() |
