so i returned this faulty monitor today at staples.
Dell S2409W monitor = $250 tax = $25 california recycling fee = $16 upon buying the monitor i was told the FULL amount including the recycling fee would be refundable in case of a problem. so i go back, return it and when i get back home i realize they didn't refund the $16 recycling fee. i call them and ask them why, the MANAGER says oh in california it's not refundable, it's sort of a restocking fee. so i thought ok fine. but i thought let me double check, so i call 2 more staples stores, speak the their managers and they both say it is refundable if an item is returned. anyway i drive past the store later in the day and went to see the manager who LIED to me. and he was surprised i came back. so he was messing around with his computer to get me my $16 back and he says it won't let me do it, i don't know why. and i said that's not my problem, i'm still $16 short. so he goes off, does something with another computer and comes back and gives me my money. it wasn't even about the money. it could have been $5 and the next time i drive by the store i would go back in and get my money. i don't like the idea of someone trying to pull a fast one on me. would you go back for $16? |
