I know everyone has already seen it, but I had to post as I've just seen the movie (release was only yesterday here in the UK) and I thought it was really really bad.
I was expecting a corny action movie but not one with a non existent story (why did they drive from the secret base to a city?) and numerous completely STUPID moments. My favourite (and the one that prompted me to make this post) was near the start of the film: When the soldiers are fighting off the scorpion bot and defeat him, one of the soldiers is wounded and screaming in pain rolling around on the floor... Another soldier runs over to him and put his hand on his neck "Its OK, he has a pulse!" He shouts in relief. OF COURSE HE HAS A PULSE YOU DUMB F*CK HE IS ROLLING AROUND SCREAMING ON THE GROUND! Now, I'm no medic, but surely this sounds like a really retarded bit of film making, or is it me being stupid? I know its just a cheese action movie, but still.... |

People like you suck. You can't go into a movie without expectations. Like I said, I wasn't expecting a meaningful movie that made me think, I went to see it as I loved Transformers when I was a kid, but when your laughing (my friend was as well) for 5 minutes at a supposedly serious moment, it kind of ruins the film don't you think? |

I liked the movie, but I also missed why they all drove to the city at the end. i know the reason they did it though, its so there could be lots of special effects of buildings getting destroyed it served no other purpose the film is **** anyways i knew it was gonna be **** and i wasn't disappointed. i could of written and directed a better film on the toilet yesterday |

that really pissed me off lets got to a highly populated area and put millions of people in danger What was their plan? To keep running forever from Megatron? Action movies don't have to have heinous story gaps, wooden characters and stupid mistakes, its just a shame this one did as I was really looking forward to it (or maybe I do, like Alaskan said, just suck! [rofl]) |

People like you suck. You can't go into a movie without expectations. :P Seriously though, Transformers succeeds in two ways and only two ways: visual effects and Megan Fox. The rest is garbage. |

because it's small meaningless **** that ruins the movie I wonder if the decline of Roman civilization can marked by the point at which people started going to the Coliseum and saying, "What was with all that what was the lions motivation? Why did he want to eat a Christian in particular and for that matter it's not very realistic what is a Lion doing in Rome anyway? And those Gladiators where's the story? I want background I want character introduction." |

God damn! Suspension of disbelief! How many threads are we going to get like this? What were you expecting? Altman, Coppola, Goddard maybe? It's a summer blockbuster for God's sake you go in you pay your money, you turn off your mind and you enjoy some good old fashioned visceral entertainment. |

Post of the year! [thumbup] I like them thin, slender, petite. I don't like overly chubby/fat girls. I hate flab. I hate cellulite and girls with cellulite should come with a disclaimer. Post of the year! [rofl] |

Btw.
Movie was a disgrace. I wasn't expecting an Indie Art Film but I wasn't expecting Michael Bay to completely make the film into a banal mess of bad dialogue, no story line, countless useless scenes and a million plot holes. He also tried to recreate (ultimately failing miserably at) a relationship between man and machine. A perfect example of this is Terminator 2 and 3 where you can actually feel the empathy. In Transformers it doesn't work at all and is horribly corny at the same time. |
