WOW! That's just....bad. I'd have walked too, only I don't think I would have been as nice about and...and I could have done the anger/tear thing too. I HATE doing that!

I had to "train" many large animal vets when I had my horses. So far, I've been lucky and found a vet for the dogs that I like.
Last year I'd taken the dogs to the clinic for vaccinations and thought the vet was okay, then a couple weeks later Nick had to go in for an ear issue and we saw another vet, who is now our regular vet.

When they brought Nick out all wrapped up and she told me that if he got the wraps off, I could bring him back and they'd redo it.
I looked at him and said, "it's just elastikon & vetrap isn't it" and it was like a light bulb went off in her head "hey, this person knows something" and she changed the way she treated me. Not that she treated me bad to start with, more like she chose her words carefully in case I didn't understand. But now she just talks and isn't so careful in chosing her words, which is nice.
And she really likes my dogs and treats them well, which is always nice.

Doesn't hurt that it's the same clinic we got Nick from and everyone there loves him.

arrogance=low self esteem. That plus a job with power equals trouble for people looking for real answers.

I never mind a assertive person, but arrogance is a red flag.

Moto and I went to the clinic where I saw the ear specialist a few weeks ago- boy, was it a different experience!

The vet and the tech were going mad for Moto and telling me about how much they love the breed and how easy they are to practice medicine on. They gave Moto a chewy and let him galavant around on the exam table instead of holding him down. She listened to all of my questions, helped me make an informed decision about his vaccines coming due, took us into a room with a ottoscope that displayed on a screen so I could see in his ears too, and called in their orthopedic specialist to talk to me about his knuckling over!

No exam charge, just cost of vaccines and dewormer (they were above average, but c'est la vie).

Hells yeah to Deer Creek Animal Hospital!!!!

Hucklebutt- I live in Littleton, but that other clinic was in Westminster/Thornton area

Wow that's great! So glad you had all those resources available to you there!
I'm so jealous of hospitals with 'advanced' technology. That otoscope sounds awesome! I would love for our anesthesia machine to simply work and not leak. That's too much to ask for I guess lol.

I did a search on Vets in your area, and I found this clinic (saw your review on there). Looks like MANY people are having issues, hopefully potential new clients of theirs will do their research first and avoid them.
