yes and being tollerant also means respecting those who don't think the same way as you do.
I get offended whenever someone mentions J-sus. But people don't quite saying his name either. I'm also offended by your presence. Leave.

like I said, low class. it's not suprising that the person with the least class and decorum on this forum took the bait.

also, people like yourself who lash out and are disrespectful at every opportunity do so because they don't respect themselves.
You are right.

Instead of calling these people out when they make mistakes and cause peoples death, we should just turn a blind eye and ignore because we don't want to offend anyone.

Tool.

that's a nonsense argument. for all your bluster, you really aren't that bright. I said I have no problem condemning thier actions, nor with making political statements (like drawing Mohammed). I just said that I, personally, think it's low class to insult all Muslims, when it's the jihadists that are the problem. ie: particpating in some stupid, low class, facebook campaign that offends the entire religion is probably not the way to go.

Not all Muslims are offended by pictures of mohammed. Up until the 17th century it was common practice to make pictures of Mohammed. Also, the Quran does not mention it is forbidden, even for Muslims, to draw a picture of Mohammed. It's a bit like the Burka, Quran also doesn't mention them, yet they get more popular all the time. Modern Muslims are just getting more extreme.

fine, not all, but most. (you know what i meant)

I agree it's extremist to not want a picture drawn, evenmoreso to go out and call for jihad when it's done. I'm just saying one ought not go out of their way to offend well meaning people's belief systems. (ie:not jihadists)

I find it funny as hell how muslims want the world to revolve around them; who cares what everyone else wants to do as long as noone offends thy muslim.

Islam needs to die, or the minority need to crawl back in their 1000 AD times.
I find it funny that people are saying this is a bad thing.

Hooray for freedom of speech is what I say.

I'm probably four or five times smarter than you. None of your long-winded posts are going to be able to change that.

Never argue with an idiot,
They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Anyways i just think the whole idea is stupid.
Think about it, calling a woman a ***** is offensive to women,
calling a hispanic person a spick is offensive to hispanics, calling a person of Jewish decent "Christ killer" is offensive to the jewish people, calling a black person a coon is offensive to them, burning the US flag is an offense towards american people..
The list go´s on and on, and guess what, out of logical reasoning and good manors, people with an IQ above room temp don´t resort to using those terms or taking on such actions. (nor would anyone in their right mind think using/doing it more often would make anything better, hence BaYegu´s comment )
Pretty much same go´s for the whole Mohammed thing, respect other peoples beliefs and feelings, because otherwise, all you´re doing is being a c*nt.

just my 2 cents.

No.

If tomorrow I started a religion, and one of the things that you could not do is draw pictures of a certain person or object, I would not be justified when I threaten to kill other people who draw this. I would be a nutcase, millions of nutcases are not any better.

Yeh, calling people names is way more personal than drawing 'something' that was made up a long time ago

I never said that going against these things would justify anything.
Having that said, yes the people are nutcases that are willing to spill blood for something as trivial as the drawing of a picture.
But then again, i bet there have been alot of people killed in the past for such trivial things as calling someone a Ni**er.

No offense, but where does the notion come from that people allways seem to "know" if something was made up when they don´t believe in it ?

Anyways i don´t think you guys got the point of my comment,
but hey don´t worry about it,..

If I'd like to grow Chilis in my backyard but my neighbour would say that according to his religion the mere thought of having Chili in the neighbourhood would be too disgusting and offensive, I'd of course wouldn't grow any...

In Indonesia the Radical Muslims are stoning and razing Kiosks where Christians are selling Beer and Liquor to other Christians. The Christians of course take the action as civilized and just belonging to the reciprocal tolerance amongst different faiths. Not retarded at all.

I can show you hundreds of retarded comparisons if You'd like.

This group is a demonstration in support of one's right to expression, and a display of defiance. It's not intended to offend, but rather to assert the rights of those who are not Muslim.

If you don't want to be ever offended stay in your basement. And calling a black guy a coon in his face is one thing, drawing a comic cartoon in your own, non-muslim, country and having some medieval douchebags on the other side of the globe tell you to stop that because of their stone-age belief system, is ****ing ridiculous.
