Ok, so earlier I was feeling really bad because my stomach is hurting and it never feels full and I went totally off the diet. I'm talking McD's AND Pizza Hut. I am completely sick now. Can I start over again tomorrow?
Ketostix question: I know ketostix don't have any thing to do with this diet, but I check mine every day. Would this be a good indicator of still losing if it is almost black? Patch question: So, does the patch contain hormones or not? I'm thinking that is why I'm still hungry. I am a patch user. I'm also feeling light headed, dizzy at times, etc. (all before breaking my diet). Carol Ps- the food doesn't taste as good as I thought it would from cheating on the diet |

When your body is in a far burning state- you should be in Ketosis... so keotstix actually are a good tester to see if the hcg diet is actually working for you (ie to see that you are burning fat and not muscle). Darker colors mean that more ketones are detected - so in other words that you are burning a lot of fat- which is exactly what you want. 3. The patches are the same as homeopathic drops- so they do contain hcg. Before you can rule that it's the patches making you hungry- it would be helpful to know a food journal and what you are doing each day. What foods and how many days did you load? What foods are you eating every day? Do you exercise? How many calories are you eating? When are you eating meals? When are you changing patches? 4. You will notice- the healthier you start to eat- the less and less your body will crave "junk" and the worse and worse you will feel. One time way before hcg- I stopped eating fast food for over 6 months- and then one night for whatever reason out with friends, and we stopped at Burger King. I didn't even finish half of the Whopper Jr. and I was puking all over. It tasted THAT nasty. Funny to think I had eaten all that crap all the time before and thought it tasted sooo wonderful LOL If you could post answers to number 3- that would be helpful so I can help you. All to often too many people just say, "Oh its not working i should switch to ____ instead". Let's figure out what could be the issue and go from there. ![]() |

Since your stomach always has hunger pangs, I suggest you add in an extra portion of protein to keep you fuller. Dropping the Melba and maybe one fruit
I'm thinking if you're feeling this bad still, you're not getting any hcg in your system. I know Grammy said they did nothing for her Ketostix don't tell you anything about losses. It just means you're using fat for fuel instead of carbs |

Ketosis is not a necessary component of this diet. I have never yet been in ketosis on it. 2 fruits a day are too many for me to hit it. And I hate those patches. They don't contain any hcg at all. I tried them for a week and was hungry no matter what I did. Tried two patches, tried taking it off a day, leaving one on a longer time. If you read the material that comes with the patches, you will see that they actually don't contain any hcg. They are not a transdermal patch in the usual way we think of patches. The mfg says you take what you need of the energy of it. that's pretty woo-woo and I'm very open to woo-woo usually. LOL But your body doesn't "need" hcg so that argument falls apart. If you still have hunger, I would stop and use another method. the weight you lose when you're hungry will be easily regained because it's the wrong kind of fat and you're also losing muscle.

Here is my food log- everything that touched my lips. I change my patches every third day in the morning. I place the new one on the left upper part of my chest changing positions with each new patch. I don't exercise. I walk only when I have to, literally (just being honest). My calories range from 450 to 550 depending on what I am eating. I still haven't gotten the menu down completely to make it even out. I loaded for 3 days and ate whatever I wanted to (mac & cheese, dunkin sticks, oatmeal, candy, McD's, etc). Please let me know if there is a way to get it straight so I don't feel hungry and my stomach doesn't hurt. Thank you.

Grammy- what do you mean by "your body doesn't "need" hcg"? I thought for this diet to work properly (consume abnormal fat) you had to have HCG in your system. When you say "If you still have hunger, I would stop and use another method" do you mean another diet all together or just injections or drops?
I got the patches because others had said they had HCG in them and that they worked. Is it all in my head about the patches working? I spent $100 on non-hormonal patches? I just don't get it. Can I do the pellets? They are homeopathic. Does that mean they don't contain the HCG? I am confused. If some people are taking the pellets (homeopathic) and are on a VLCD does that mean they are losing the wrong type of fat? Isn't that dangerous? Do you trust this site- http://platinumbodyperformance.com ?

Homeopathic are different from the patches. I actually think they are fine to use. But I'm very leery of the pellets after trying them myself. I know how you're supposed to feel on hcg and I felt none of those things. I'm a master dose tweaker and I had someone who had used them and liked them help me try to dose them but nothing worked. I'm just very skeptical of those. You could certainly do the pellets or homeopathic drops.
