A decade? The world a decade from now is unfathomable. Just like a desktop is still a desktop (even though a gaming machine) a tablet will still be a tablet (even though a gaming machine) just like a console will be a console. Only way you can get a console is if you make a console. Not a tablet that can just so happen plug into your television, no longer have a wireless controller and have a horrible battery life to boot. Plus your friends will need the tablet and app to play if you have them over. What someone needs to allow you to do is share (or maybe just charge an extra 15% or something) the same account on your tablet/phone and console (something like the Apple TV). So you can game on your tablet, get home, turn on the console and fire right up where you left off and only need to purchase the game once. Be able to use the tablet or a regular type controller. |

Then that wouldn't be a console or even a handheld. Still just a tablet in the end. Plugging in your tablet into the TV isn't going to fly well for gamers when you'll just use the tablet screen. PSP has been able to do this, but how often do people do it? Im sure never. They just game on their little 4" screen instead. |

I think you are a person who struggles to see the bigger picture. Tablets are very much like what Nintendo is trying to do with the Wii U, less powerful but significantly more versatile as you aren't bound to a single room to use them. |

Agreed and he also mention horrible battery life when tablets across the board have phenomenal battery life. |
