That's the point you bloody pedestrian! They removed all the markings. I should have said road markings, but I'm sure 99.9999999999999% of people knew what I meant.
Of course I knew you meant road markings, but how could they remove the thing in the middle of the road?
What like Bright Orange cables laying on Green grass?
Yeah because being a bit careless while mowing the lawn is the same as not paying attention whilst in control of a potentially deadly weapon.

Electrocution can be deadly.

That's what RCDs are for.

What if by chance, your RCD was faulty and didn't trip?

Have you ever used one? They have a test button. In case the only person who would be in danger is myself.

Yes, but it could break between you testing it and starting the mower.

I guess in the same way that they got rid of the rest of the paint?

This is a mini roundabout:

OK, get off your high horse.

A moment of distraction can happen whether you are mowing the lawn, driving a car, walking a dog or walking a tightrope.

You could either run over your foot, crash, get it run over or fall off. None of which are particularly pleasant.

And only a non-driver would have the audacity to suggest that you should never be distracted while driving. It happens whether you want it to or not from time to time.

Try driving on the motorway and sneezing.

That, right there, is scary s***.

I've only had that once. There was about a mile clear road ahead of me when I started! Three sneezes later and I'm standing on the brakes so hard I'm standing up. Good times.

Let him stay on his high horse. Bungle's original comment is still very much valid: you made the mistake of not paying attention, and you're blaming the roundabout and its lack of markings. The blame is, as you of course have long realized yourself, all yours - everything else is just an excuse.

When I was done at work, I looked at the behind of one of my students. That fine body managed to distract me for the entire trip home!

This is a mini roundabout:

I know what one looks like, but that bit in the middle is usually raised up.

No it isn't. The ones you have noticed are raised up. It's about half and half around here.

Yeh, but it's such a good excuse I think I would have put it on my insurance claim if we had crashed.

Reason for collision: I was momentarily distracted by an arse you could bounce a pound coin off.

If I was dealing with your claim, I'd accept that as a valid excuse without question.

There are some things which may not be right, may not be legal, but really, really should be.

I've never seen one that is raised up. They are usually just painted straight onto the road.

They quite often use a bit of extra tarmac to raise the road where they are painting white.

Fixed!
Do people actually drive round them over there? I've only seen a couple of little ones like that, and seen people just drive over them to go where they want to go.

If it wasn't there it would be a junction, possibly, or probably, with a stop sign on the road joining the main one.

Not really pointless, just an alternative.
